Extra! Extra! We wanted to share the terrific art from our Blooming Art Celebration at Campbell House

Hartley Fitts came up with a great idea.   Let’s have a Blooming Art show here in the Sandhills featuring art from our homes and floral arrangements interpreting that art by members, other garden club members and local artists.   It was held at Campbell House and was an unqualified success!    We literally had hundreds of attendees and the entire community was buzzing with great feedback.

Dolores was kind enough to capture pictures of the entire event, and they follow!

We gathered the designers together for a group shot! What a talented group
Linda and Ellen in front of Linda’s beautiful painting
The event was all Hartley’s idea and she submitted multiple pieces… and matched them with her colorful blouse. Thank you Hartley for all the work!
The artist of our terrific promotional poster, our own Ann-Boyd, poses with her two works of art!
Anne Holmes used orchids and hydrangeas with her boat sculpture to interpret her painting.
Diana’s arrangement was absolutely angelic
Discorded Rhythms was absolutely stunning – in art and flowers
We hear Elaine’s talented husband helped out with this lovely spring arrangement over the fireplace! It was a “wow”!
Heath at Hollyfield Design depicted this luscious peacock in flowers.
Jan’s whimsical interpretation was a delight
Leslie’s interpretation of the amazing Einstein portrait was amazing in it’s own right!
The picture doesn’t fully capture the beauty of Linda’s second arrangement… The sculpture AND the basket were wonderful works of art!
Marilyn Grube provided three wonderful and colorful arrangements – each in a very special container.
Matt Hollyfield reversed things for us … putting the flowers in a frame on the wall… his creativity knows no bounds
Nancy’s gorgeous use of color in this arrangement interpreting the wonderful “hunt” painting was spectacular
Nancy’s hunt painting – isn’t this a glorious fall day?
Furniture can be art too! Especially this amazing needlepoint chair and the arrangement interpreting it from Richard and Donna
The smallest picture in the show was marvelously interpreted by Dolores Muller!
Another of Marilyn’s wonderful arrangements … marvelous use of South African Protea, forsythia and hydrangeas.
