January 23, 2023 – Our annual meeting with Southern Pines Garden Club at Weymouth Center returns!

During the Pandemic, Southern Pines was not ready to resume our joint meeting, but this year we joyfully joined forces with them once again. We had a great and fascinating presentation from Louise Kamp from the Propagation staff of Weymouth Dirt Gardeners, presenting a brief history of their group and what’s necessary to keep the gardens a beautiful resource for our community.

Look at all these goodies! Lovely to look at and wonderful to eat! The combined hostesses from both Clubs put this together.

Louse Kamp shared so much information about the Dirt Gardeners. They work so hard!

Aren’t we thrilled to have Linda with us?

Elizabeth and Jan share “insider” notes on nametag management!

Victoria shared information about our upcoming Blooming Art fundraiser

Obviously, lots of volunteers are needed for Blooming Art, so Karen Fisher had sign-up sheets! Its such a fun project – Join us if you can!

December 7th, Pearl Harbor Day, we finished out the year with a beautiful brunch at Donna Verrelli’s gorgeous home!

As we did last year, we celebrated the Christmas Season with a gathering at Donna’s home. It always brings us joy to have the opportunity to experience Donna’s lovely home at the Holidays. We had a delightful meal and the (now traditional) trifles prepared by our members for dessert, and mimosas as well! It was absolutely lovely.

How luscious are these orchids! Thank you, Martha!

Two of our lovely hostesses for the occasion, Sharon and our President, Victoria!

Jan, Patti, Victoria, Alice, Tracye and Martha obviously loved the lunch!

Weren’t all these trifles amazing? They were not only beautiful to look at but delicious as well!

A lovely holiday luncheon

Our hostess presided over a table in the dining room – Karen, Sharon, Donna, Nancy, Anne and Rita at the gorgeous table!

Our October trip to StarWorks was cancelled due to a Covid outbreak at the glass works! However, our November 9th open meeting featuring Cameron Sadler, Master of Foxhounds was held at Weymouth Center

Isn’t this gorgeous! It tasted delicious as well !

Lots of creativity for this fall feast

Our speaker, Cameron Sadler, shared everything we knew about riding to the hounds, a long-time Sandhills tradition.

Martha, Masha, Ann-Boyd and Rita were dressed for Fall and enjoyed the refreshments.
